Preventive Maintenance

Here is a checklist of services performed during general
service calls:

  • clean or replace filters
  • clean blower assembly
  • oil motors
  • clean burners
  • clean heat exchanger & inspect for cracks
  • clean pilot & flame sensor assemblies
  • check fan-limit safety operation
  • sequence thermostat, check anticipator, & make sure stat is level
  • check compressor, electric elements, & all motors for proper amp draw
  • check all power supplies for proper voltage
  • inspect for loose, burnt, or broken wires & connections
  • inspect all flue pipes & connectors
  • inspect all gas piping & connections
  • inspect & clean dirty refrigerant coils
  • check refrigerant levels
  • clean miscellaneous debris from equipment
  • check compressor windings
  • check all belts & pulleys
  • check all condensate drains & pumps
  • clean outside cabinets of equipment
  • check all accessories (e.g., humidifier, air cleaners, zone controls, & dampers)

Dirty coils & blowers, or units low on refrigerant will not operate efficiently & will deliver less air.

Clean equipment operates more efficiently & with fewer break downs, while offering you lower utility bills & delivering cleaner, healthier air.
